A networking event focusing on student engagement with sustainability

Event description

If you are a student in Switzerland, you can’t miss this! In an engaging format you get the opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas with students and higher education institution representatives across the country who are interested in sustainability. This event is part of the Sustainable University Day 2022. The Sustainable University Day is an annual congress organised by U Change (see below) together with higher education partners. The aim of the congress is to bring together students, researchers, lecturers, university staff and other interested people to discuss the topic of sustainability at higher education institutions. The participants can take part in numerous activities offered in an interactive and multi-faceted programme, organised in cooperation with partners from research and teaching, non-profit organisations and local associations.

During a World Cafe format, students and higher education institution representatives will have the opportunity to exchange experiences and generate new ideas.

Reimbursement of travel costs: Within the registration form you can apply for a partial reimbursement of travel costs to Ticino and back. As soon as possible, we will let you know via email through your contact information or via our newsletter (subscribe below) what the amount of the reimbursement will be. There are limited spaces for reimbursement, register now and take advantage.

Here you will also find a letter template from U Change to request your time off from class to participate in SUD! You can customize the letter and send it to U Change for signature. Afterwards you can send it to your Lecturers.

Sustainable University Day 2022

The Sustainable University Day is co-organised by:

U Change is a funding programme for student projects for sustainable development and platform structures supporting such student initiatives. It is run by the Network for Transdisciplinary Research of the Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences. The main goal of U Change is to anchor sustainable development at Swiss higher education institutions.
Scuola universitaria professionale della Svizzera italiana offers more than 30 Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree courses, characterised by cutting edge education which unites classical theoretical-scientific instruction with a professional orientation. Great care is given to research, carried out in key sectors on competitively acquired projects with large European and national agencies or mandated by organisations and institutions.

Admission

This workshop is open to all students at Swiss higher education institutions and is free of charge.

For this, indicate within the time slot three that you are joining the workshop „Students for Sustainability: Creating Connections“. Since this workshop is part of the Sustainable University Day 2022, you can also register for other workshops.
